A lot of changes have come to the Trucks Series this off-season. Here we deep dive our season long predictions for the series.
Playoff Predictions
Brett

There is no sugar coating this one, it is Corey Heim vs. the field. Heim led the field with six wins last year and was followed by Christian Eckes who had four. Eckes has moved on up to the Xfinity Series, leaving Heim to run the Truck Series. The drivers that excite me the most are teammates Layne Riggs and Chandler Smith. After missing the playoffs by one spot last year, Riggs fired off two wins to open up the playoff schedule in 2024 showing his potential. Chandler Smith drove for Joe Gibbs Racing in the Xfinity Series last season and captured two wins and 17 top-5 finishes. After being the odd man out, he landed with Front Row Motorsports in the Truck Series and now has top equipment to show he is the real deal in Nascar.

Similar thoughts to my colleague, this is Heim’s series. The 11 team has that strong of a gap and his experience/speed will be on full display every single week. My biggest intrigue comes with Rajah Caruth and Daniel Hemric this season. I believe Caruth is a rising star, we’ll see how his equipment performs. Hemric on the other hand has the right equipment (taking over for Eckes in the 19), but will be shaking off some dust as he hasn’t raced in this series since 2016. Also newcomer Toni Breidinger will make her debut this season in a full time ride. There is certainly a lot of noise around her entering this series, it will be interesting to see if she can squeak into the playoffs.
Championship Four Predictions

Brett
The truck series rarely ever sees surprises because the quantity of talent and top rides is not there and this upcoming season will be no different. Corey Heim, Chandler Smith, Grant Enfinger, and Ty Majeski will win most of this year’s races and the playoff points that come along with it will propel them all the way to championship weekend in Phoenix.
While Corey Heim has had two chances at the championship already, this year is finally the year he gets it done. He has the most talent by far in this series and could very well be a full-time Cup Series driver in 2026.
James
Two fixtures in the Final Four are Heim and Majeski. I don’t see any scenario where they do not make it to Phoenix. But as we know, in a winner-takes-all race, anything can happen. Hemric shocks us with a win over the clear favorites. It would be an amazing bounceback story after losing his cup ride for the second time in his career.
