4,024 days. 10 plus years. As a society, we are officially back. EA Sports College Football has been sleeping restlessly for too long, but today, that comes to an end. With Early Release coming to consoles today at 4:00 PM EST, a new wave of dynasties, careers and memories are set to be built.
To think how far we have come, the first confirmed rumor of the game’s return dates back a little more than 3 years ago.
Delays on the game over the past 3 years made us all believe it may never come. Despite the lawsuits and many hoops to jump through, EA has finally delivered something worthy of praise for the first time in a long time.
The question remains, where do you start today? Do you begin building your dynasty? Will you be selecting your favorite school or take a real challenge and build up a struggling program? I can promise you, Akron and Kent State have not had the same eyes on them since the previous College Football title. Or will you take your talents to Road To Glory? One of the most immersive modes in all of sports gaming. Either start as a 3-Star and climb your way to the top or face the pressure of a 5-Star recruit and make an impact your Freshman season.
No matter where you start today (unless you jump into Dynasty with a Blue Blood), we are back connected as a society. There are not a lot of things we can agree on these days, but for gamers and college football fans alike, we are all ready to put the headset on and hit the gridiron.
